“There is no must in art because art is free.”
-Wassily Kandinsky
Hi, I am Olivia Rehbinder. I am an designer and artist living in Baltimore. My path has been rather zig-zagged, but, zooming out from my specific work experiences, my most outstanding pursuit is one of creativity. I have a keen eye for art, interior, fashion and, truly, all forms design. I have many life experiences from moving across the country for school, living in over 5 major cities in my life. I have an international background, traveling often to see my family in France. The exposure to such vast and inspiring scenery has allowed me to hone my creativity and strive to bring such beauty to all. Paintings, prints, patterns, books, mood boards/collages, and numerous other mediums; these are all ways that I have manifested my desire to create.
I graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. My first professional job out of school was working as a project researcher for the AD 100 firm Roman and Williams. The scope of much of my work was to collaborate closely with the creative director and architecture and interior team to visualize the initial concept of a project. I would often sit in client kickoff meetings to get some inspiration for what the client, the team and I were seeing for the future of the project, aesthetically and logistically. I used that information to create concise and striking collages that spoke to the the spirit of the collage. As the project continued, the collages would become more specific to the space, and influence materiality, architecture and interior styling. Apart from this work, I also worked with the president and vice president of the company to develop portfolios and proposals for new clients.
During school, I had two internships at print design companies, Nikki Martinkovic Design Studio and Liz Casella Studio. I began working at Liz Casella Studio as an employee before the pandemic began. My work with the studio taught me how to hone my illustration skills and apply them digitally to prints. I sold prints to numerous clients and grasped the visual identity of each company with ease.
Prior to my current position, I worked as an apprentice at a renowned Marketing and Branding firm, Cohere. I created online content, graphic brand assets, and strategic business plans for clients.
I currently work at Younts Design, an environmental graphic design firm in Baltimore, where I contribute to a wide range of commercial, hospitality, and residential projects. My role spans the full design process, from planning and concept development through fabrication and installation coordination. I collaborate closely with project managers, fabricators, and installers to create cohesive environmental graphics and signage experiences that are both functional and visually impactful.
